I would recommend trying this on a TUSB9261 DEMO board to see if it actually works. Regarding the previous question about SMART, TI replied, "The recommendation is to use ATA pass-through to send SMART commands." Does this mean that manual transmission of ATA pass-through commands is required to obtain SMART information?

As expected all the USB ports now show up in the VM and none inTrueNAS USB SATA adapters with UASP support allow a pretty direct passthrough of SATA commands, including those for SMART I believe you have to pass through the controller that the drives are connected to
